1. Watch the knights joust at Excalibur's Tournament of Kings while eating dinner with your hands. Tournament of Kings is an exciting dinner show set in a jousting arena of the Medieval Period. Guests will witness the beauty and speed of real life horses as they engage in battle, the magic and mystery of Merlin, dancing maidens, spectacular special effects and much more.

 

2. Experience G-Forces at the Stratosphere Tower and ride the Big Shot at the Stratosphere Hotel.  At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower Las Vegas is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. From the observation decks, lounge, restaurant, meeting, banquet and private dining rooms, guests enjoy panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and the surrounding valley.  Visitors are whisked from ground level to the observation decks in less than 30 seconds in double decker elevators traveling at speeds of 1,800 feet per minute or three floors a second.

 
 

3. Visit the AdventureDome Theme Park at Circus-Circus

The Adventuredome at Circus Circus Las Vegas is America's largest indoor theme park featuring the world's only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster, The Canyon Blaster. Set in a Grand Canyon-styled motif, The Adventuredome packs a tremendous amount of entertainment into its glass-domed five acres.  

The Adventuredome has many attractions suitable for younger children including the traditional Carousel and numerous other rides where parents can accompany their children, or watch from within camera range.

4. Blast away at GameWorks on the Strip. GameWorks has 47,000-sq. ft. entertainment with over 250 games, the world's tallest free-standing rock-climbing structure, a full-service restaurant, and two snack bars. Inside the Game Works complex is a Coca-Cola store, with a 10-story version of its signature curved bottle, and an m&m factory featuring three stories of m&m candies in colors only available at this location. GameWorks is located at next to MGM Grand Hotel.

 

5. Tap the window at the Lion Habitat at MGM Grand. Situated inside the resort's Strip entrance off Las Vegas Boulevard adjacent to its entertainment dome, the Habitat is a 5,000 square foot showcase of lofty simulated jungle complete with waterfalls, enclosed in 240 degrees of floor-to-ceiling protective glass that enables the public to view a variety of lions at play and leisure. Handlers utilize only voice and hand signals to direct the lion's movement. Members of the family of lions appear in sequence for periods of no more than six hours at a time before returning to their spacious, permanent homes on an 8 1/2-acre ranch outside of Las Vegas.

 

6. See dolphins at the Mirage. This 2.5-million-gallon Dolphin Habitat is home to a family of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Its purpose is to provide a healthy and nurturing environment for dolphins, as well as to educate the public about marine mammals and their environment - including their role in the ecosystem. Guided tours for the public are conducted throughout the day. The habitat is also a site for scientific research and educational programs for students from pre-school through university age.

 

7. Kick it in gear at NASCAR Cafe at Sahara.  Aptly named "SPEED - The Ride," the NASCAR Cafe's new roller coaster reaches 70 mph. The first roller coaster of its kind in the Western United States, SPEED uses LIMS (Linear Induction Motors) to quickly reach high speeds through magnetic force. SPEED begins inside the NASCAR Cafe, where a high-speed launch propels passengers along the Las Vegas Strip.

 

8. Take a ride on the Manhattan Express at New York-New York. With heights of 203 feet, drops of 144 feet and speeds up to 67 MPH, this attraction adds new meaning to the phrase "let it ride!" It features the world's first "heartline" twist and dive maneuver, allowing riders to experience the thrilling force of negative g's! Simulating a barrel-roll in a jet fighter, it rolls 180 degrees, hangs 86 feet in the air, then dives back under itself- promising dizzying excitement and white-knuckle thrills!

 

9. Kink your neck as you watch the world's tallest and biggest lightshow at Fremont Street Experience.  Imagine a spectacular computer generated Light and Sound show projected from a space frame 90 feet above you.  The Fremont Street Experience is a four-block long canopy that covers the downtown Las Vegas area and serves as a display system for the shows. The canopy houses 2.1 million lights, capable of producing millions of color combinations and 540,000 watts of concert-quality sound. The shows are run by 36 computers and are accompanied by 218 speakers.
