Opened on January 3, 1997, New York New York recreates the skyline of
New York in Las Vegas. The twelve connecting hotel towers allow you to stay in the
Chrysler Building or the Empire State Building. Inside the casino you find Gallagher's
famous Steakhouse. After dinner visit Hamilton's, an art deco lounge with a wide
variety of cigar selections. Be sure to ride the Manhattan Express Rollercoaster
between 10a.m. and 10p.m.
The casino interior is accented with New York City landmarks such as
Time Square and Central Park. The 84,000-square-foot casino features more than 80
table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, Let It Ride and Caribbean Stud,
plus more than 2,000 of the latest reel and video gaming machines.
Dining: Contributing to the Manhattan flavor are Las Vegas versions of
popular New York eateries -- the lively America restaurant; Gallagher's Steakhouse;
Gonzalez Y Gonzalez, which, like its East Coast counterpart, features a well-stocked
margarita bar; Il Fornaio, which offers fine Italian dining; and Chin-Chin Chinese
restaurant. The newest addition is the seventh ESPN Zone, a premier sports-themed
dining and entertainment complex which opened in the summer of 2001. For more street-friendly
fare, you can even wrap your fingers around a genuine Nathan's hot dog at the Coney
Island Food Pavilion.
Fun: The Manhattan Express roller coaster takes white-knucklers on an
exciting ride that twists, loops and dives around and through the property, reaching
speed of up to 67 mph. The pool area has food and beverage service. Relax and refresh
at The Spa at New York-New York and Euphoria Salons & Day Spas. ESPN Zone features
interactive sports games, a full-blown production studio, screening room and an
ESPN souvenir store.
