If you ask a staff member for directions to "Picasso," you better specify whether you want the restaurant or the art gallery. There is a very expensive gourmet restaurant in the hotel called Picasso, which might be fine for older children and teenagers, but not a practical choice for little kids. Here, however, we are referring to the Picasso art exhibit. Picasso: Creatures and Creativity is on view at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art until January 10, 2016. The exhibit features more than 45 of Picasso's paintings, linocuts, and lithographs representing his evolution as an artist from the 1930s through the 1970s.
The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art viewing hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, with the last admission at 7:30 p.m. Ticket pricing is as follows:
- Adults: $19
- Nevada residents: $16
- Seniors (age 65 and up): $16
- Students, teachers, military: $10
- Children, age 12 and under: FREE!
The Gallery does not have facilities for storing strollers and personal belongings, so you will need to leave them in your room or check them at the Bell Desk. No food or drinks can be brought in either, and the use of cell phones and cameras is prohibited. Remind your children not to be loud, in consideration of other patrons and not to touch any of the artwork.
