High Roller Observation Wheel

Our second time on the high roller, this time during the day. Daytime is fantastic as you can see the mountains, night time was excellent for the lights. Happy half-hour is fantastic, the waitress works non-stop. After the frenzy at the start there's no problems getting drinks and you'll leave pleased and maybe buzzed. Make sure to get there a bit early, you need to line-up to pickup your tickets, even with the voucher in hand! Note you need to load/offload while it is moving so this may not be ideal for some.

The high roller is a great Vegas attraction especially for kids and well worth the cost. There is an option to buy the all inclusive bar plan but unless you intend to pound drinks it’s probably not worth the price. You can buy drinks before you board the pod. We bought the drink package but did not know that kids under 21 were not allowed on the same pod as us so the kids had to take another one. Other than that, this is a fun attraction and a must see in Vegas. For those of you who are scared of heights the ride rotated so slowly that you really don’t feel it and the pod is fully enclosed and holds 20 people comfortably so it wasn’t much of a problem. My 10 year old daughter hates heights and rode it without any problem.

Taller than the London Eye, the High Roller is a 550 foot tall observation wheel with a 360 degree view of Las Vegas and surrounds. The views are astounding, day or night, depending on your preference and what suits your kids.

Instead of those old two seaters that seem to rock back and forth precariously, you'll be stepping into a state-of-the-art air-conditioned pod that's roomy enough for 40 people (on average, there are about 12 people per pod). You'll be able to walk around and take pictures from every possible angle. If you're lucky and time your ride just right you'll be able to see the Bellagio Fountain show at the apex of your ride!

Never pay full-price again? High Roller Linq discounts

There are many ways to get discounts on your High Roller ticket. One option is to check your hotel room booklet where you're likely to find a $5 coupon. Groupon and Living Social routinely offer discounts as well. What's more, women dressed in lime green on the Linq Promenade often hand out $2-off coupons.

Need a picker-upper?

If you're thirsty, they also offer a full bar with a charming bartender to boot. For an additional fee, there's even an option to have a Happy Half Hour with open bar - to make you feel like you're really living the high life!

Children under 12 ride High Roller free!

Before 7 p.m., the cost is $21.95, from 7 p.m. till midnight, the cost is $36.95. Children 12 and younger are free, and your 13-17 year old will cost only $16.95 during the daytime and $26.95 at night. If you'd like the open bar option, there's an additional charge of $10 before 7 p.m., and $15 thereafter.

Make out like a local

If you're a Nevada resident, use the promo code "LOCALS" online for $5 off standard tickets and receive a free ticket for your children 12 years or younger. You can also present your Nevada ID at the High Roller Guest Services Desk. For Tuesday Night Bloq Parties, present Nevada ID for 50% off tickets.

Family hour package deal

If you're looking for a family friendly pricing package, on Saturdays from 10:00am-11:30am, before the ride is open to the general public, there's a $50 package which includes tickets for 2 adults, 3 kids, 3 toys (valued at $12 each in the gift shop) as well as 3 juice boxes. Could life be better? Additionally, at this time of the day, there's generally no lines, no waiting and a pod all to yourself and your family. In a life where your kids' happiness is everything, you know how important these things are!
