The Renaissance Festival is a throw to the Age of Chivalry, a remembrance of a medieval time long time passed. The whole family will enjoy strolling through the Renaissance Village and historic encampment site.

You can watch an authentic blacksmith make horseshoes, be awed by the jugglers and contortionist, and root for your favorite knight in the jousting competition!

There's so much to see and do, and lots to learn about life in medieval times.  They offer sheep herding demonstrations, battle re-enactments, and a royal procession where you can meet the King and Queen and their court.

The kids will love the camel rides offered, watching the different dancing troupes perform, or maybe catch one of the showings of the fairy tale puppet act, "A fool and his lady."

There will also be a full parade on Saturday and Sunday around 11am that you won't want to miss.

So, now that you've worked up an appetite, grab a turkey leg from one of the many food vendors, and wash it down with an honest-to-goodness pint of beer or mead, make that a root beer for the kids!
