The 17th Annual Invitational Native American Arts

the Native American culture. There is so much to see and learn - a great time is
sure to be had by all!
|
|
Spend the morning listening to fabulous stories, be
moved by music and scope out crafts from more than 50 art vendors and learn much
more about the different area tribes through their dance performances.
From powwow drums and spirit dances to traditional
dances and family dance, you will enjoy the bright colors and history behind
these commanding presentations.
You are sure to work up an appetite at the festival,
so head to the dining tent and try some Native American foods. Indian tacos, fry
bread and special culinary items such as buffalo stew, green chili stew and much
more will be available for you to purchase. |
Kids will want to spend time in the Children’s
Craft Tent where they create their own Native American masterpiece for a small
fee. Here, children learn the art of weaving as they use brightly colored
material and a pattern to create their special Native American craft.
Be sure to purchase a raffle ticket before you leave. Drawn on Sunday afternoon,
you could win one of many art pieces donated by a festival artist. All proceeds
benefit the festival for the following year.
