The Gran Prix of Henderson offers Indy Racing League excitement right in the downtown area at the new Henderson Events Plaza. This .7 mile race is sanctioned by the league and is part of the Snap-On Stars of Karting series.

This race and others like it offer a chance for drivers to start their careers in the top levels of motorsports.

Stars such as Danica Patrick, Michael Andretti and Dario Franchitti all got their start with kart racing.

And some drivers keep themselves in shape this way during the off-season.

The main thing to know is that it’s fun and thrilling to watch the karts make the rounds of the course, beginning at Water Street.

On the Friday of the event, practice runs all day and live entertainment is provided to ensure your enjoyment. After pre-qualifying on Saturday, finals are held, as on Sunday.

It’s three days jam-packed with the revving of engines and the racing of motors. Be sure to get there early to catch all the action and keep track of your favorite drivers and their teams. Vroom, vroom!
