FREE! FREE! FREE! We've assembled a list of FREE Indenpendence Day activities and events in Las Vegas this 4th, 2011! FREE fireworks and FREE deals! It'll be hot this year though so dress cool, bring lots of water, put on your hat and enjoy three days of celebrating America's Independence.
FREE CONCERT AT SPRINGS PRESERVE The Springs Preserve will be the place at 8pm (gates open at 7pm) on the evening of July 2nd, enjoying family friendly fun and patriotic music performed by the UNLV Community Band. Gates open at 7 pm with the performance from 8 pm to 10 pm. The show will be held in the Springs Amphitheater. Adults are $5; Children 6 to 17 are $2, Children 5 and under are free. Family Packs including 2 adult and 4 children are $12. Summertime goodies like ice cream, snow cones and hot dogs will be available to purchase. There will not be a fireworks show at this event. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs or blankets to enjoy the experience on our amphitheater grounds.
FREE 4TH CONCERT AND EVENTS AT BASIC HIGH SCHOOL IN HENDERSON Enjoy a night of family fun and celebrate Independence Day in Henderson, NV. Basic High School's Football Field will be the site of loads of excitement for the entire family including concessions for hot dogs, hamburgers, sno-cones and ice cream.
Entertainment starts at 6 pm with a performance by The Randy Anderson Band, the Downstrokes at 7:30 pm and Henderson's time-honored traditional fireworks show at 9 pm. Admission is free and a shuttle service is provided throughout the event, starting at 5:30 pm. Pick-up locations are at the Valley View Recreation Center, the Heritage Park Senior Facility, and the LDS Church Parking Lot at the corner of Burkholder and Racetrack. Sorry, no glass container, no pets, no alcohol, no personal fireworks (you will see plenty!), no BBQs and no weapons. Admission is free! KIDS UNDER 5 ARE FREE AT NIGHT OF FIRE AT THE LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY Celebrate the 4th of July one day early on the 3rd, enjoying the excitement and thrills of a night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from 5 pm to 10 pm. Parents and kids will squeal when Robosaurus performs; Robosaurus stands 40 feet tall and weighs 30 tons. It belches flames 20 feet in length as it picks up and destroys junk automobiles in its path. Watch the Jet Car burn and Nascar Chargers, Bombers, Legend Cars and Super Late Model Cars zoom around the race course. The night will end in a spectacular Fireworks show at about 10pm. Adults are $19, Senior/Military are $15, Kids are $6 (5 and under are free), and a Family 4-Pak is $39. Lower ticket prices when purchased in advance. FREE FIREWORKS DISPLAY AT HILLS PARK Fireworks, live music and over-all 4th of July celebration will keep the entire family entertained this year at the Hills Park annual event located at 7101 Buffalo Drive, Las Vegas, NV. The park is a gorgeous place to gather with grills and picnic tables available for cook-outs. Admission is free. In the evening a semi-classical concert will be held, followed by an impressive fireworks display. FREE PARADE: SUMMERLIN'S 17TH ANNUAL PATRIOTIC PARADE Southern Nevada's largest and most colorful 4th of July parade, with more than 40,000 people expected to attend, will start at 8:30 am on Monday, the 4th. The parade begins at the corner of Hillpoint Road and Hills Center Drive in the Trails Village of Summerlin, then travels south on Hills Center Drive ending on the corner of Trailwood Drive and Spring Gate Lane. Admission is free. The parade features many kids' storybook characters, bands, performing groups and "Macy style" helium balloons. More than 60 entries will participate including traditional floats. The parade promises a day of fun for all.
FREE FIREWORKS SHOWS The Las Vegas Hilton's fireworks show will begin at 9 pm on July 3rd and will be seen throughout the entire Las Vegas Valley. Caesars Palace will also provide the community with a sparkling show of fireworks on the 3rd scheduled to begin at 9 pm. The Aliante Station, Green Valley Ranch, Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station and Red Rock Resort.hotels will be shooting off fireworks on July 4th. The fun starts at 9pm and lasts for approximately 9 minutes.
