KA Cirque du Soleil
Location: MGM Grand
Age: Children under 5 not admitted
In the now-familiar out-of-this-world journey-format, Cirque du Soleil
creates another not-to-be-missed stage epic that embraces the visual imagery and
the
grand production style that has made it a winner with every audience.
KA is a coming-of-age tale, presented in Cirque’s now legendary “feast-for-the-senses”
style that is, at the same time, exhilaratingly beautiful. Inspired by the Egyptian
idea of “ka” – a spiritual duplicate – the show tells the story of twins, male and
female, who are separated and finally linked in their destinies and their destinations.
Helping the twins overcome a series of obstacles are a court jester and
a nanny, and as they continue their separate journeys, the twins encounter experiences
of duality in every form – from the power of love and conflict to the juxtaposition
of good and evil.
KA also combines music, costumes, staging and an unusual stage to create
a variety of settings for the story, from the bottomless universe to sandy beaches,
dense forests and playful imaginary backdrops…and, magically, each member of the
audience is swept into the story as state-of-the-art technology makes KA an amazing and unforgettable celebration of the human spirit in all its wonder.
