Interview with Jason Eagan
LasVegasKids presents Halloween in Las Vegas

Interview with FrightDome's Jason Egan...
Michael Myers lives again at the FRIGHTDOME!
Through the screams of frightened guests visiting the Haunted 13th Floor at Circus Circus, LasVegasKids.net spoke with Jason Egan, entrepreneur and owner of Frightdome located in the Adventuredome at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. Frightdome is running the entire month of October and is known as one of the most frightening attractions in the U.S.; complete with five haunted houses, scare zones, bone-chilling rides and monsters and freaks around each corner! And don't forget the gore and the blood-oh my-so much blood! Jason took a few moments to tell us some interesting and amazing facts about Frightdome to scare you, oops .... to share with you:

How many people visit the Frightdome each year?
Between Frightdome and the Haunted 13th Floor Tour at Circus Circus, we are expecting 78-80,000 visitors this year. Last year we saw 71,000 visitors. This year we are partnering with Compass Films International. Compass Films International owns the licensing to the legendary "Halloween" horror films. We have given two of our five haunted houses at Frightdome the "Halloween" theme including the scariest man that just won't die... Michael Myers!

Are there any new attractions added this year?
Yes! Our two "Halloween" movie themed haunted houses. One new haunted house is the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. Visitors get stuck in the middle of the Psychiatric Ward where Michael Myers is being kept. Visitors soon find out that Michael has escaped and is roaming the halls, hunting them. The other new haunted house is The Home of Michael Myers. Visitors take a tour of Michael's home but don't realize that Michael is coming home at any moment. Our partnership with Compass Films International has given us the opportunity to design these haunted houses using replicas of the movie sets providing guests with the feeling of being right inside the movie scenes. We have also revamped Hillbilly Hell and Fright High. We want to provide returning guests from past years new, and even more, frightening experiences.

What have visitors told you is the scariest part of Frightdome?
Michael Myers without a doubt! We have found a wonderful actor, Joseph Mayo, who is also a genius and "Halloween" films guru. Joseph has studied the persona of Michael Myers extensively and knows all of Michael's mannerisms. It helps that Joseph stands 6'5"! When the producers of the "Halloween" films took a tour of Frightdome, they loved Joseph's portrayal of Michael Myers. We do have several other actors that play Michael-all trained by Joseph.

When designing attractions, is consideration taken as to what the public is currently most afraid of, such as the economy, terrorism, etc?
Most of our attractions are designed around movie themes. We do take into consideration the economy. Although Las Vegas is starting to recover, we continue to offer deep discounts to our guests.

Do you have new projects in the works?
We are opening TimesScare in New York City on October 13th. This new attraction is located in Times Square and will include a theater, 2 bars, a restaurant and a haunted house. Dan Sperry, the illusionist, will be appearing in the theater. We would like to invite everyone to visit our website at www.timesscarenyc.com.

Thank you, Jason Egan, for the time you gave lasvegaskids.net and for giving our readers the opportunity to take advantage of the Frightdome discount coupon. Lasvegaskids.net hopes everyone enjoys their visit to the Frightdome.

Happy Halloween to all you ghouls and goblins, big and small!
