FREE pictures with Santa!
The Santa Train...

Kids will love riding the Santa Train at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. During the ride, Santa and Mrs. Claus visit with all of the children on the train. Be sure to remember to bring your camera and take free pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the children.
Tickets are $5 per seat (child carrier counts as a seat). No strollers allowed on the train
Departure dates: December 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th
Departure times: 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00. Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure (the line often begins forming at least 30 minutes before departure)
Getting there: take US-93 south toward Boulder City. After passing the traffic light at Veterans Memorial Drive, proceed 0.7 miles to Yucca Street (just past the Taco Bell). Turn left onto Yucca Street. The train station for the Nevada Southern Railway is on your right. Parking is available adjacent to the station.

Scuba Santa at the Silverton Aquarium...

Join in the holiday laughter watching Scuba Santa at the Silverton Aquarium. Santa Claus will be completed dressed in scuba gear and diving around inside the 117,000 gallon aquarium. Santa will be on site beginning 12/3/2011 from 10 am until 1 pm every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas Day. Bring your entire family to enjoy this free holiday event. Holiday Spectacular and Christmas Light Show...

Holiday Spectacular is a beautiful winter wonderland event being held at the Springs Preserve on 12/3-12/4, 12/10-12/11 and 12/17-12/23/2011. Performance time is 5 pm until 9 pm. The whole family will enjoy the thousands of LED lights featuring train and reindeer rides (pony) for the smallest family members. Join in the fun of holiday arts and crafts while delighting in yummy holiday treats. There will be photos with Santa available and ice skating too! Prices for Adults are $8, Children 5-12 are $5 and Children under 5 are free. Ice skating fees are $5 for a 20 minute session.

Ranch Christmas...

Ranch Christmas at the Spring Mountain Ranch State Park will be held on 12/10/2011 at 2 pm. Enjoy seeing the Ranch House lit with beautiful holdiday decorations and lights. This old-fashioned Christmas will include fun for the entire family with prizes, treats, loads of activities, music and beverages. Bring all the kids to have their photos taken with Santa for free! A glorious and happy time will be had by all! The cost of admission is $7 per vehicle.

Candyland Carnival...

Candyland Carnival will be held at the Sunrise Library on 12/15/2011 at 4 pm until 4:30. The kids will have so much holiday fun listening to stories about candy and sugar plums. Then there will be fun craft activities from that very famous game. The kids will play in the Candyland Castle so please bring your cameras for a great photo opportunity. The event is free and is appropriate for ages 6 to 10 years old.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Movie in the Park...

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will be shown on 12/2/2011 at 6 pm at the Police Memorial Park. This ‘movie in the park‘ is the Jim Carey version of the film filled with laughter and fun. There will be no charge to attend! There will be complimentary hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes while supplies last. So bring the whole family for an evening of fun and holiday cheer and a free picture opportunity with the Grinch himself!
