When you're visiting Las Vegas with the kids, treat them to a roaring good meal at the Rainforest Café. Part of the Landry's family of restaurants with locations in 11 states, the Rainforest Café in Vegas is an exciting dining adventure with delicious food, jungle-themed décor and a fun gift shop. For over 20 years, the restaurant was housed in the MGM Grand, but opened up in the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops in August of 2015.

You'll feel like you're dining right in the middle of a real rainforest with trees, vines and lots of greenery. Even the life-size animals?from the Nile crocodile to the 25-foot boa constrictor? move and make noise! Every 20 minutes or so, a jungle thunderstorm rolls through the establishment, complete with lightning and thunder.

Be sure to check out the large aquariums with lots of fish, swimming and entertaining you as you wait for your food. The over-21 diners can head to the restaurant's bar and grab a seat on the animal leg barstools. Along with the themed dining room, the Las Vegas location also has an outdoor dining patio overlooking the Strip and a third floor outdoor terrace, both perfect for people-watching.
The kids' menu appeals to both kids and adults with classic choices that are also healthy. Options include grilled chicken, mini burgers, hot dog, popcorn shrimp, dino-shaped chicken or shrimp nuggets, pork spareribs, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, spaghetti and pizza. Each entrée comes with a side such as applesauce, corn, fresh fruit, steamed veggies, mashed potatoes and French fries. A drink, either milk, apple juice or Capri Sun, also comes with each meal.
Parents can be just as happy eating here, with a varied regular menu. Start out your meal with an appetizer, soup or salad; if you can't decide what to get, opt for the Awesome Appetizer Adventure that includes several of the appetizers. For an entrée, you can choose from seafood, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, beef, pork and chicken dishes. Some popular choices are the Taste of the Islands seafood feast, Pastalaya, BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Mojo Bones pork spareribs. Complement your meal with an adult beverage from the bar.

If one of your little ones happens to be celebrating a birthday during your time in Vegas, they'll be treated to a special birthday song and dessert. The Volcano dessert completes the jungle adventure; it's a stack of brownies in a volcano shape topped with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate, caramel sauce and a sparkler. You can't miss whenever anyone orders or gets the dessert, as the staff leaves the kitchen shouting "volcano!" for the whole restaurant to hear.
